This spring, the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research sent out a survey to UNH faculty seeking feedback on how well the office and its individual units currently support the research community. The results of the survey provided insight into areas that are working well and also areas where the research office could do more to help faculty reach their research goals.
UNHInnovation is always looking for ways to improve the services we provide to the UNH community and to make it easier for faculty, staff, and students to understand and navigate the innovation commercialization process. From the survey results, you told us that we could communicate better and be clearer about what to expect when participating in the commercialization of intellectual property. We take your feedback seriously and are changing to improve our service to the UNH community. In an effort to make some tangible first steps, UNHInnovation has dubbed the month of June as Technology Transfer Month. All month long, we will be unveiling improvements and initiatives aimed at optimizing the work that we do and making it easier to collaborate with our office.
We kick off Technology Transfer Month today with the announcement of the official launch of our redesigned website, which can be found at innovation.unh.edu. The UNHInnovation website was first launched back in 2014 and has been long overdue for a refresh. Not only did our website get a brand-new look and feel, but we’ve also overhauled the content to make it easier to find intellectual property resources and contact information. For example, check out the commercialization process page for a useful introduction into the innovation commercialization process or visit the innovation disclosures page to quickly find the resources and information to start the innovation disclosure process. The launch of the redesign is just the beginning. We will continue to update the site with content and resources that will better serve the UNH community and make it easier for the business community to access UNH resources, ideas, and expertise.
