UNHInnovation is excited to announce the launch of the UNHInnovation Fund, a competitive funding program supporting UNH faculty and researchers moving UNH-owned innovations closer to licensing and/or commercialization. The fund will award successful applicants $50,000 to advance innovations.

“This fund has been a goal for some time and is a critical step in leveraging UNH’s robust innovation portfolio. Our intent for this program is to provide innovators with the resources needed to push their work closer to commercialization potential,” said Marc Eichenberger, UNHInnovation’s associate vice president and chief business development and innovation officer. We’re very enthusiastic about the impact this will have for our research community, and we thank the Office of Research, Economic Engagement and Outreach for supporting its creation.”

The fund is being hosted through UNH’s internal competition portal (InfoReady) and is open to UNH faculty members or UNH researchers with a faculty member serving as the lead applicant on the proposal. For a proposal to be eligible, it must involve UNH-owned IP that has been disclosed to UNHInnovation and is currently at the pre-revenue development stage. Interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the two upcoming informational sessions: January 18, 2023 at 12 pm or February 17, 2023 at 12 pm.

“We’re thrilled to be able to invest in our faculty and researchers, and we look forward to supporting the many ways in which they could achieve commercial impact through their research,” said Maithili Shroff, UNHInnovation Fund manager and licensing manager for sciences and engineering. “We encourage all eligible faculty to apply. As always, UNHInnovation is here to answer any questions or concerns about the process.”
