UNHInnovation is excited to welcome Marc Eichenberger as Director of Corporate Engagement to serve as the bridge between the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and the business community. Marc brings a wealth of experience across the corporate and university ecosystems, intellectual property commercialization, and business development.
Marc’s experience in innovation spans both life sciences and technology. Most recently, Marc helped launch a venture creation company called Allied Minds. Allied Minds commercializes IP from leading US universities, national labs, and corporations. As the company’s COO and second employee, Marc helped grow Allied Minds from inception to a public company including developing and closing a number of partnerships with companies from around the globe.
Prior to helping launch Allied Minds, Marc spent over a decade in management consulting, including 10 years with AT Kearney, where he advised mid-size and Fortune 500 companies on a variety of strategy, operations, and supply chain issues. His former clients represent a spectrum of aerospace, high-technology, services, and industrial companies.
In his new role as Director of Corporate Engagement, Marc is looking forward to the opportunity to help both the university and businesses create mutually beneficial commercial interactions. He’ll be working hard to shepherd businesses to UNH resources, and help the university interact and partner more effectively with the corporate world. Marc will also serve as the Program Manager of the New Hampshire Innovation Research Center (NHIRC), a state program that supports innovation in New Hampshire by funding industry and university collaborations.
Marc graduated with an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
“I’ve worked at the intersection of technology and business for well over a decade and the capabilities of UNH are one of the industry’s best kept secrets,” Eichenberger said. “I look forward to working with regional companies both large and small to unleash this potential.”
