About UNH I-CorpsTM
One of the pillars of UNH’s I-Corps Site is a 9-week Lean LaunchPad course that exposes trainees to the business model canvas, a tool that uses regular interviews with potential customers to outline how an idea fits within a market. Teams are formed around a promising innovation or idea and consist of at least an Entrepreneurial Lead, a Technical Lead, and an Industry/I-Corps Mentor, and receive up to $3,000 in NSF funding for engaging in customer discovery to match ideas with demand. Through participation in the UNH I-Corps training, teams are officially NSF-funded and eligible to apply for further funding to be an I-Corps Team (up to $50,000 of funding) and continue developing the commercial path for their idea through the canonical I-Corps program.
The I-Corps program provides an opportunity for UNH to expand its role as a center of innovation, and leverage its research into viable business propositions. Contact us about this wonderful opportunity, engage others in your ideas, and become part of an I-Corps team!
I-Corps™ is a National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative to increase the economic impact of research. The program is available to both the academic and non-academic communities and provides entrepreneurial training to create and validate business propositions.
