Paige Smith, business director, directs all business and financial-related aspects and manages the day-to-day operations for UNHI. She draws from over two decades of administration experience in government, corporate, and nonprofit settings to help plan, resource, and monitor UNHI activities and programs.
Paige serves as the primary interface for external vendors and consultants and collaborates with UNH finance, facilities, IT, HR, purchasing, and sponsored programs to implement UNHI initiatives. She is involved in proposal development and post-award administration of UNHI grants to include UNH’s I-Corps Site award and is a member of the Association for University Technology Managers (AUTM).
In 2016, Paige successfully managed the UNHI move to the Madbury Commons facility as part of a project team facilitating the design, construction, and furnishing of the space. She currently manages the UNHI facility and is the contact for leasing private offices within the Cubeˣ coworking space.
Prior to joining UNHI in 2011, Paige worked for some of the largest employers in the country to include the U.S. Government, MidAmerican Energy, Fisher Scientific, and BNY Mellon. She earned her Master of Public Administration, Bachelor of Arts in political science, and Project Management Certificate from the University of New Hampshire. Paige is also a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as an intelligence analyst while based at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
