UNHInnovation Managing Director Re-Elected to the Association of University Technology Managers® (AUTM) Board of Directors
Durham, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire announced that Marc Sedam, associate vice provost of innovation and new ventures and managing director of UNHInnovation, has been re-elected to the Association of University Technology Managers® (AUTM) board of directors for a three-year term that will begin in March, 2017. Sedam will join nine other board members serving in 2017.
AUTM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and improving academic technology transfer globally through education, professional development, partnering and advocacy. The general responsibilities of the board include development and oversight of policies to ensure the effective governance and fiscal health of the organization, strategic planning, and serving as ambassadors of the organization and the profession.
“It is an honor to serve once again on AUTM’s board of directors,” said Sedam. “University research and development has long had an important social and economic impact on society, contributing to the creation of significant innovations, companies, industries, and jobs. Technology transfer professionals bridge the gap from university to industry, bringing research-born innovations to the wider world.
